Make A Difference – #3
3. Leave your car home one day a week — or at least walk to the drug store.
Growing up on a farm if you wanted to get anywhere you had to drive — so for me the habit was struck very early. I am addicted to driving. I found myself driving the 3 blocks to the drug store the other day and I started to think about how many times I have done that instead of walk.
So, maybe I won’t cure the environmental woes of the world by walking these 3 blocks but if we all did something in regular small measures…wouldn’t it add up?
So get out your walking shoes and do the world and your health a favor! And don’t forget to wave if you see me around the neighborhood.
